Excellent point, Eric ... sadly, CNN only gives me like 1200 words and wants a 'theme' (it is after all a 'column') ... wasn't a real obit like the 15,000+ word opus Sanger did for The NYT !!

This is a little sarcastic of me, but imagine having a state career that impactful, then upon retirement to the private sector you spend the rest of your life saying, “And I’d do it again if I had to!”
